This was a fun, little project made in Blender. The idea was to make a loop which could be used by VJs (nothing too innovative and complex tho). I used EVEE to render it which boosted the renderspeed extremely compared to Cycles.
However setting up reflections is a bit more complex than in Cycles. I played around with SSR and planar reflections and ended up using planar reflections since SSR didn't give me the result I aimed for.

Modifiers
Modifiers
Bark:
1. I started with some simple cubes for the bark. Then I put a bevel modifier on them
2. Added an array modifier to them and used object offset. Added an empty, slightly rotated it and used it as the parameter in the object offset tab.
3. Now I just added another array modifier to them and used another empty to control it. (just to slightly offset the rotation)
4. I just duplicated the object and empties to create the upper area, scaled them up and rotated them
5. Added a curve modifier to add some bend to the palm trees
Palm Leaves:
1. Almost the same modifier setup as the bark, just make it look a bit more random
2. Painted a simple alpha texture in Photoshop and used it as leaf texture

1. Added a simple plane
2. Subdivided it (used some additional loops to get square-ish faces)
3. Added a displacement modifier with a noise texture to displace it upwards
4. Created a vertex group and marked the areas which should not be displaced
5. Duplicated the mesh and added a wireframe modifier
