This was one of my last projects during my studies at LMU Munich. Since making a purely analog exhibition wasn't possible, we decided to move a huge part of our exhibition online. 
Regarding the technical solution we used Unity since we already had some knowledge programming in Unity. The biggest challenge was to keep a relatively low polycount and maintain a good performance on as many browsers as possible. This is one of the reasons why we tried keeping a minimalistic architectural style (which has some similarities to brutalism). You can try the virtual exhibition yourself here
